Tammer Participated in the Industrial Symbiosis Seminar

Industrial symbiosis is a closed production cycle between different companies where one company’s waste, excess heat, or other by-products find new use in the manufacturing processes of another company. It is an essential part of the circular economy, aimed at reducing the need for raw materials and waste management, minimizing costs and maximizing revenue.

This time, the EAS seminar focused on material symbiosis. As a manufacturing company, we have repeatedly faced challenges related to the leftover materials in our production processes. We constantly work to reduce material usage, but it’s inevitably difficult to bring all by-products to zero. This drives us to continually seek solutions to recycle as much valuable materials as possible.

The seminar provided us with the opportunity to discuss these topics with other companies, and we recognized several similarities in our challenges. We came to the understanding that there is no single or simple solution, but collaboration is the foundation for innovation and the development of new, exciting ideas.

Tammer greatly appreciates the EAS initiative to encourage industrial symbiosis between Estonian companies and to encourage discussions on this topic.
