Led by our dedicated sustainability specialist, Stina Silluste, Tammer’s Green Club is a collective effort to drive positive change in both our company’s practices and the environment around us. At our first gathering, a group of 12 employees came together, each committed to making our world a greener, more sustainable place.
Our first major initiative will be a community work day planned for early May, where we’ll roll up our sleeves and create some green space. Together, we’ll construct an inviting outdoor area, where colleagues can unwind and enjoy fresh air and sunshine during coffee breaks.
In phase one, our focus will be on finalizing the terrace and crafting and installing bird nest boxes in the trees. Progressing into phase two, we’ll concentrate on enhancing seating areas and integrating more greenery, including the addition of vibrant flower boxes.
But this is just the beginning! The aim of the Green Club is to raise awareness about environmental issues beyond Tammer’s core business and actively engage our employees in community projects. Looking ahead, our vision is ambitious: to involve 50% of Tammer’s employees in green activities by 2030, leading by example in the industrial sector and encouraging others to join.
