Door connects, wall separates
Tammer’s story began in 1995 on the ferry Georg Ots, where entrepreneur and father of six, Raigo Tammo, happened to share a dinner table with a metal supplier. The two decided to share a pizza, and during their conversation, the business partner suggested expanding (in addition to Estanc, founded in 1992) into products made from steel profiles. Inspired by the idea, Raigo soon traveled to Switzerland for training at a company manufacturing steel profiles. Becoming familiar with these profiles laid the foundation for the idea of establishing Tammer OÜ.
Over 30 years of operation, Tammer has grown into the largest manufacturer of project-based metal doors in the Baltic and Nordic regions. This Estonian capital-based family business has expanded its production facilities to 15,000 m² and today provides employment to more than 300 specialists on a daily basis.
Tammer focuses on manufacturing durable, sustainable, and safety-enhancing project-based metal doors and other steel joinery solutions designed to perform in various risk situations. Under the Tammer brand, more than 36,000 doors are produced annually for both the construction and marine sectors, and the company’s annual turnover exceeds 38 million euros. More than 80% of its production is exported.

Tammer was nationally recognized with the Entrepreneurship Award as Family Business of the Year 2019.
In addition, in 2019 Tammer was awarded the Silver Level of the Family-Friendly Employer label and the Bronze Level of the Responsible Business Index.
In cooperation with the Estonian Rescue Board, Tammer organizes the annual charity project “Safe Christmas,” within the framework of which compliant door solutions are donated to one educational institution each year.
Tammer is a sponsor of the Estonian Rescue Association and, in 2025, received recognition from the Ministry of the Interior for supporting volunteer rescuers.
