What’s Ahead for Construction in 2025 and Beyond?

In a recent episode of Äripäev radio’s “Eetris on ehitusuudised”, Tammer’s CEO Liis Kokk joined Teeli Remmelg (Äripäev) and Gerli Puusild (Swedbank) to discuss the latest Swedbank Estonia construction sector survey.

The conversation covered market changes and export trends, various challenges from falling volumes and rising price pressure, as well as different opportunities in the recovering Nordic public sector.

Amid current challenges, the outlook is still optimistic, with slow but steady growth expected. Tammer remains mainly focused on nearby Scandinavian markets, which is a strategic choice given the logistics of exporting heavy products like metal doors. While construction exports stay regional, marine sector projects enable broader European reach.

Tammer, along with much of the Estonian construction industry, sees growth potential in new market opportunities. Naturally, new markets come with their own standards: from certification and compliance rules to environmental expectations. With a growing emphasis on sustainability, Tammer continues to develop its products in line with evolving environmental standards.

Closing the interview, Liis Kokk expressed confidence that with the right national support, manufacturing sector in Estonia can remain both competitive and innovative.
