Saving Lives by Opening Doors: Volunteer Rescuers Training Day at Tammer
In collaboration with Estonian Rescue Association, we welcomed volunteer rescuers to Tammer for a practical training focused on forced entry through metal doors.
One of Tammer’s core goals is to produce doors that ensure maximum safety. At the same time, we fully understand how critical it is for first responders to reach those in need as quickly as possible — even when they’re behind a locked door.
During the training, rescuers had the opportunity to try out techniques for gaining access through doors using their standard equipment. Due to the high number of participants, two teams were formed — while one practiced force-entry methods, the other deepened their understanding of the legal aspects and constraints related to door breaching.
In the second half of the day, our R&D department gave an overview of fire doors’ important role in fire safety and introduced additional requirements that arise from specific market needs. The presentation also included test videos and imagery, providing a clear visual of the doors’ resistance and durability. 🔥
We hope participants left with valuable insights and practical experience that will help them carry out their mission even more effectively in the future.
Protecting people and creating safer environments is a mission we stand by at Tammer. That’s why we deeply value our longstanding cooperation with the Estonian Rescue Association — a partnership through which we’ve offered both financial support and the use of our Academy’s facilities for various educational events.
Thank you to each and every one of you —we look forward to the journey ahead.
