Understanding the source materials behind our steel doors: Tammer’s visit to ArcelorMittal

Recently, Tammer representatives visited ArcelorMittal’s plant in Gent, Belgium. Our CEO Liis Kokk, Supply Chain Manager Veiko Soomer, and Purchasing Specialist Janek Kaupmees gained a better understanding of how the steel used in Tammer doors is produced and processed.

Tammer visiting ArcelorMittal

“The visit gave us a much deeper understanding of both the supply chain and the scale of the manufacturing processes surrounding our own operations. The better we understand our materials and the work that goes into producing them, the better equipped we are to make informed decisions regarding quality, durability, and sustainability. It was also inspiring to witness the important role that efficiency and innovation play in modern manufacturing,” says Tammer’s CEO Liis Kokk.

ArcelorMittal is one of the world’s leading steel and mining companies, operating primary steelmaking in 14 countries, employing more than 125,000 people and serving customers in 126 countries. The company supplies steel solutions to industries such as construction, infrastructure, automotive, and energy, while continuously investing in more sustainable and lower-carbon steel production.

A sincere thank you to HANZA Group for organizing this visit and to ArcelorMittal Belgium for the warm welcome and new perspectives.
